I’ve gotten an assortment of advice, books, etc about radically changing my diet to prevent remission. I realize that this is just meant to give me the most information possible, and is not meant to….preach or to push things on me, but the thought of never eating cheese or meat or gluten again makes me want to die. I’ve thought seriously about how it would affect my quality of life and have decided to just eat healthier in general. I’m starting by adding food instead of taking it away deliberately, although I generally avoid too much crap. I’m starting with vegetables; I’m trying REALLY hard to get at least 3 servings in a day. I figure the more good stuff I add, the less bad stuff I have room for, AND this still leaves room for beautiful moderation. I think I’m setting this up to be an utterly sustainable lifestyle change. None of this abrupt, extreme, detox crap. Not for me.
